GreetaBook Customer Terms of Service

For people who use the GreetaBook mobile app (customers of participating businesses, not business owners)

These Terms are for the GreetaBook mobile app. Website customer terms may differ. The language version you accept in the app governs that acceptance.

Who these terms are for

These Terms apply when you download, install, or use GreetaBook to manage visits at participating businesses.

If you only use phone or SMS with a business’s Greeta Voice assistant, see the Customer Terms on our website.

Business owners are covered by the Business Terms, not this document.

Acceptance

By creating a GreetaBook account, checking the boxes on the sign-in screen, or tapping Continue / Accept after a legal update, you agree to these Terms and the GreetaBook Customer Privacy Policy in this app.

If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The service

GreetaBook is free. It lets you:

  • Sign in with a United States phone number and SMS one-time code
  • See places already linked to you
  • View upcoming and past visits
  • Book, reschedule, or cancel a visit when the business allows it in this app
  • Set an optional local reminder on this device
  • Edit your name and email; delete your GreetaBook account (ordinary delete or opt-out / hard delete as described in the Privacy Policy)

GreetaBook is not the business. The business remains responsible for the service you receive from them, including pricing, quality, hours, staff, and whether a slot is truly available.

GreetaBook is not a substitute for emergency services. Call 911 (or local emergency services) in an emergency. Do not use the app to request urgent medical, fire, or police help.

This app is not intended for protected health information and is not a substitute for a covered health provider’s systems.

No payments in this app

GreetaBook does not take payment. Displayed prices are informational only. Do not rely on them as a final amount due. Any charge is between you and the business, outside this app. Consent to these Terms is not a condition of purchasing the business’s services.

Accounts, phone number, and SMS

Your phone number is your account identity. It cannot be changed in the app. Keep the number able to receive SMS. You are responsible for activity on a signed-in device. Sign out on shared phones.

We may require a fresh SMS code before account deletion. That code confirms you control the number and is not kept as lasting account data.

SMS consent (TCPA): by requesting a code, you consent to receive one-time verification texts at that number. Carrier rates may apply. This is not consent to GreetaBook marketing texts. Business SMS (confirmations, reminders, promotions) is between you and that business.

Bookings

Slots you see come from the business’s calendar. A slot can be taken or withdrawn before you confirm. Some places are view-only in GreetaBook (the business manages bookings elsewhere).

Automation used by the business (phone assistant, calendar sync) can make mistakes. Verify important details with the business.

If the business uses another booking system alongside Greeta, a booking you make here may also appear in that system. We do not guarantee those systems.

Notifications

Local reminders are optional and stay on the device. They are not a guaranteed wake-up call. Enable or disable them in Profile and in system settings.

Acceptable use

Provide accurate information. Do not abuse OTP, scrape the service, interfere with other customers’ bookings, or use the app unlawfully. Do not use the app to store or transmit protected health information.

Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Outages at the business’s calendar or connected tools can delay or fail a booking. If a write is still being confirmed, retrying may keep the same request.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, J.A.P TECH CONSULTING LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT BOOKINGS WILL SUCCEED, THAT DISPLAYED TIMES OR PRICES ARE ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR SECURE.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN DISCLAIMERS. IN THOSE PLACES, THEY APPLY ONLY TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, J.A.P TECH CONSULTING LLC IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM GREETABOOK, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO YOUR USE OF GREETABOOK AS A CUSTOMER SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00).

This cap does not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including (where such a limitation is unenforceable) liability for our gross negligence or willful misconduct, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence where the law forbids a waiver.

The business is responsible for the personal services you receive. We are not liable for the business’s acts or omissions.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted for consumers in your jurisdiction, you will defend and indemnify J.A.P TECH CONSULTING LLC against claims arising from your unlawful use of the app or your provision of information you know is false. This does not require you to indemnify us for our own gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Account deletion

You may delete your GreetaBook account in Profile after recent SMS verification.

  • Ordinary delete removes the GreetaBook identity and sessions. If a participating business later books using this number, a GreetaBook account may be created again.
  • Opt-out / hard delete also stores a hashed record so we do not recreate that GreetaBook identity from later bookings. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Business records may remain with the business. We may suspend access for abuse or legal reasons.

Changes

We may update these Terms in the app with a new date. Material changes require in-app acceptance of the new GreetaBook version before you continue. For non-material updates, continued use after the new date is acceptance where the law allows.

Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that the federal law of the United States applies where it controls (including the TCPA).

Exclusive venue for disputes that a court may hear is the state courts located in Hudson County, New Jersey, or the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, except where a law gives you a non-waivable right to another forum.

If you are a consumer, this does not take away rights that cannot be waived in your place of residence.

General

If a provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect (severability). These Terms and the in-app Privacy Policy are the entire agreement for GreetaBook between you and us and replace prior in-app terms for this app. A failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a corporate transaction. Headings are for convenience only.
