GreetaBook Customer Privacy Policy

This policy is for the GreetaBook mobile app. Website pages may have their own notices. The language version you view in the app is the version that applies to that session.
This is a consumer privacy notice, not legal advice.
Who this policy is for
This policy applies when you create or use a GreetaBook customer account to view, book, reschedule, or cancel visits at participating businesses.
If you only called or texted a business’s Greeta Voice assistant and never installed this app, see the Customer Privacy Policy on our website.
If you are a business owner, see the Business Privacy Policy.
Roles: who is responsible for which data
GreetaBook sits between you and participating businesses. Responsibility is split:
- J.A.P TECH CONSULTING LLC is the business / controller for your GreetaBook account: phone used to sign in, app profile (name, optional email), app language preference we store, sessions, one-time sign-in codes, and deletion / opt-out records described below.
- Each participating business is the controller for visit and customer records at that place (who you are on their books, services, staff, times, prices, status, and related CRM). Those records exist because you have a relationship with that business, not only because you installed this app.
- J.A.P TECH CONSULTING LLC is a service provider / processor for those business-controlled visit records: we host and operate the Greeta platform and this app on the business’s instructions so you and the business can manage the visit.
Requests about a specific visit usually go first to that business. Requests about the GreetaBook login identity can go to us at legal@greetavoice.com. We will coordinate where both apply.
What GreetaBook is
GreetaBook is a free customer companion app for businesses that use Greeta. In the app you can book a new visit, reschedule, or cancel — when the business allows it.
GreetaBook does not process payments. Any price you see is informational. Do not rely on a displayed amount as a final charge. If a visit is paid for, that happens between you and the business, outside this app.
The app is not the business. The business remains responsible for the personal service you receive.
Information we collect in the app
Account and sign-in
- Mobile phone number (United States
+1) — this is your GreetaBook identity and cannot be changed in the app. It is a unique identifier. - One-time SMS verification codes sent to that number so we can confirm you control it (sign-in or sensitive actions such as account deletion). Codes expire quickly. We store only a short-lived one-way digest of the code, not the code itself as profile data.
- First name, last name, and optional email if you add them in Profile
- Preferred app language stored on this device and, when you are signed in, also sent to Greeta so your account language stays consistent
- Color theme stored on this device only
Visits and booking
- Linked places where you have a customer relationship
- Upcoming and past visits: service names, staff, date and time in the business’s timezone, duration, displayed price, status
- Booking requests you submit in the app: selected services (up to three in one visit), staff preference, chosen slot
- Reschedule and cancel actions you take in the app
If a business uses another booking or operations system alongside Greeta, we send the booking to that system on the business’s behalf so the visit appears on their calendar. We do not name those vendors in this notice.
Device and app operation
- Secure session token stored in the device Keychain / Android Keystore (not in ordinary app settings). Sessions last up to about 30 days unless you sign out or delete the account.
- Local appointment reminder preference (on/off and how far in advance) stored on this device only — this is not currently synced to Greeta servers
- Standard operational logs for API errors and abuse prevention (no payment card data; we do not ask for cards in this app)
We do not collect payment card numbers, bank accounts, or in-app purchase receipts through GreetaBook. We do not use this app to record call audio.
GreetaBook is not intended for protected health information. Do not use it to store or send medical records or other information regulated as PHI.
How we use information
- Create and authenticate your GreetaBook session (SMS one-time code)
- Show your visits across linked places
- Create, change, or cancel appointments the business has allowed this app to manage
- Keep your name/email consistent with Greeta-held customer records the business uses
- Send or schedule on-device reminder notifications if you enable them
- Secure the service, prevent abuse, debug failures, and comply with law
- Honor account deletion and, if you choose it, a recreation opt-out
We do not sell your personal information as “sell” is defined under California law.
We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as “share” is defined under the CPRA.
We do not use identifiable visit content from this app to train general-purpose AI models.
Text messages (TCPA)
By requesting a sign-in or deletion confirmation code, you agree to receive a one-time SMS at the number you provide so we can verify that you control it. Message and data rates may apply. Frequency is limited to those verification messages (and a small number of retries if you request another code).
This is not a GreetaBook marketing list. You can stop GreetaBook OTP texts by not requesting another code and by deleting the account. Reply STOP to a verification text if your carrier supports it; that may also block later codes until you contact us.
Confirmation, reminder, or marketing texts from a participating business, if any, are sent under that business’s own programs and consent — not as a GreetaBook marketing list. Opt out of those with the business or the instructions in their messages.
How we share information
- With the businesses you are linked to, so they can run your visit
- With processors bound by contract, only as needed to run the app. Categories today: cloud hosting (United States) and SMS delivery for one-time codes
- With a booking or operations system the business already uses, on that business’s instructions
- When required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in a corporate transaction involving our company
We do not sell your phone number to data brokers.
California privacy (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, this section describes our practices for personal information we handle as a business for the GreetaBook account.
Categories we collect (from you, from participating businesses, and from your use of the app): identifiers (phone, optional email, session identifiers); customer records (name); commercial / booking information (visits, services, times, displayed prices, status); internet or electronic activity (app requests and error logs); and inferences we do not build for advertising.
Sensitive personal information: a phone number used as a login identifier. We use it to provide the account, verify you, and prevent abuse — not to infer characteristics for advertising. You may request that we limit use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the service.
Purposes: the uses listed in “How we use information.”
Retention: see “Retention, deletion, and opt-out.” We keep each category only as long as needed for those purposes, then delete or de-identify it, except where a law requires a longer period or we must keep a hashed opt-out record.
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have no “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” cookie banner in this app because we do not run that type of advertising.
Your rights (subject to verification and exceptions in the law):
- Know / access the personal information we hold about you as a GreetaBook business
- Delete that information (business-controlled visit records may remain with the business)
- Correct inaccurate information
- Opt out of sale / share (we do not sell or share as defined above; you may still email us to record a request)
- Limit use of sensitive personal information
- Non-discrimination for exercising these rights
How to exercise: email legal@greetavoice.com from a reachable address and include the phone number on the GreetaBook account. We will verify you (which may include an SMS code). We aim to respond within 45 days, or as otherwise required by law. You may use an authorized agent as the law allows.
For visit records a business controls, we may direct you to that business or pass the request along.
Other U.S. state privacy laws
Residents of other U.S. states with consumer privacy statutes may have similar rights to access, delete, correct, or opt out of certain processing. Email legal@greetavoice.com. We will honor applicable rights.
Notifications
If you enable Appointment reminder in Profile, GreetaBook schedules a local notification on your phone. That preference stays on the device. Turning the reminder off stops future local notifications from this app. You can also disable notifications in system settings.
Retention, deletion, and opt-out
Approximate periods (we may keep data longer if required for security, disputes, or law):
- GreetaBook identity and profile we control: while the account exists
- App sessions: until you sign out, the session expires (about 30 days), or you delete the account
- OTP challenges: until they expire (about 10 minutes) or are used; we do not keep the readable code
- Operational API / error logs: typically up to 90 days
- Business visit and CRM records: retained by the business under its own rules; deleting the app account does not erase those records
- Hard-delete / opt-out record: if you choose opt-out, we keep a one-way hash of the phone (not the number in plain text) so we can honor “do not recreate this GreetaBook account”
Ordinary delete
From Profile → Delete Greeta account, after a fresh SMS confirmation, we delete your GreetaBook identity, profile details we hold for the app, and all app sessions. You lose access.
If a participating business later books a visit using this same phone number, we may create a GreetaBook identity again so you can sign in and see that relationship. Ordinary delete is not a permanent block on a future account.
Hard delete / opt-out (do not recreate)
On the same screen you may choose opt-out / hard delete. We still delete the identity and sessions, and we store the hashed suppression record. After that:
- a later booking by a cooperating business with that number will not recreate a GreetaBook account
- you will not be able to sign in with that number unless we later lift the opt-out at your request (email legal@greetavoice.com)
Business appointment records can still be created for that number on the business’s books. Opt-out only stops our GreetaBook login identity from coming back.
Recycled phone numbers: if a carrier reassigns a number, the new holder might see a prior relationship at a business. Contact that business and, for GreetaBook opt-out, email us.
Artificial intelligence and Greeta Voice
GreetaBook itself does not record your calls.
Participating businesses may use a separate Greeta Voice phone assistant. That product is governed by the business’s and website customer notices, not only this app policy. Voice features may use booking details so the assistant can serve that business’s callers. We do not sell your identifiable visit content from this app to train general-purpose foundation models.
Your choices
- Edit name and email in Profile (phone stays your sign-in identity)
- Change language and theme
- Enable or disable local reminders
- Sign out (revokes the server session, then clears the token on this device)
- Delete your GreetaBook account, with or without recreation opt-out, as described above
You may also email legal@greetavoice.com.
Security
Session tokens are stored with platform secure-storage APIs. Transport uses HTTPS. Processors are bound by contract. No system is perfectly secure.
If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and regulators as required by applicable law.
Children
GreetaBook is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly create GreetaBook accounts for children. We do not age-gate the download. Under U.S. COPPA we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian books for a minor, the business is responsible for that customer relationship. If you believe a child created an account, email legal@greetavoice.com and we will delete the GreetaBook identity we control.
International users
The v1 app is built for the United States phone market (+1). Hosting and processing may occur in the United States. If you use the app from elsewhere, you understand your information may be processed in the U.S.
Changes
We may update this policy in the app and by posting a new date. Material changes require you to accept the new GreetaBook version in the app before you continue. The in-app document for your selected language is the controlling text for that acceptance.
